Expected

Did you know gender roles in society come from what used to be customary in the past? Women were expected to be the caretakers of the home. They were seen as inferior and weak and fragile. Men were expected to be the workers and breadwinners in the house.  They were seen as superior and strong and driven. But it's not 1950 anymore. Things have changed and it's all for the better.
Women are proving that they can do the same things a man can do if she wants to. At the same time, they're proving that being a housewife is completely fine as well. And it is. There's nothing wrong with wanting to stay home and taking care of the house, nor is there anything wrong with wanting to go work for 10 hours a day to maintain the family. Alongside that, there's nothing wrong with a woman who doesn't want children or a marriage. It's all about their interests.
Men are proving that they can do the same things a woman can do if he wants to. Although society expects men to be tough or "manly" (whatever that means), men today are proving they don't have to conform to societal norms. They can stay home and be the caretakers of their homes if they want to. They can also go ahead and be the breadwinners if they'd like to.
Either way, gender norms are being erased. It's a part of societal evolution and it's coming out to be beneficial for everyone. Not everyone will conform to expectations, and that's okay and will continue to be. Change is scary to those stuck in the past. Try not to get trapped there.
